I’ve been having such horrible back pain. I did a bit more physical work and play last week, but it all felt so great. I was in such joy. Then I got angry on the weekend and within an hour had thrown at my back like never before. It’s taking forever to get better, even though I’ve released most of the anger and frustration I was feeling when it happened. What else can I do to get through this more quickly? I have so many wonderful things I’d like to do, and at the moment can’t do any of them without extreme pain.

You want to run you want to play you want to be free and joyous. But a part of you is feeling jailed and constrained, and that is the part of you which you have not transmuted yet. Your anger is gone, but not your frustration. Nice try! You almost had us convinced — but then you still need to convince your body, don’t you?
As strange as it may seem, spend some time over the next few days doing those very things which you are not wanting to do, those things which are making you feel constrained. Your body does not want to let you get better because it thinks you do not want to do those things (it is right!) but once you do them, you will realize it was not so bad, and you will begin to heal for real. Then you can get back to doing the things you DO want to do!
